Shanghai Industrial Investment Building stands at 60 Hennessy Road in Wan Chai, and this interior design and renovation covers an office space within it. The style is New Chinese luxury: traditional Eastern character carried into a contemporary commercial setting. Spatial flow and practicality carry equal weight, and a restrained material palette with refined detailing keeps the reception, meeting rooms and corridors elegant yet comfortable.
Entrance and teal fluted wall
The entrance pairs a wood-grain door with a teal fluted feature wall, its vertical ribs setting a steady rhythm and a slim white pull handle set into the surface. Above, the ceiling curves at its edges, trimmed in metal and washed with cove lighting. A mustard bench in the waiting area answers the teal, while a dark stone-effect base along the wall adds weight.
Meeting rooms and display shelving
The smaller meeting room centres on a long wood-grain table with mustard leather chairs and two brass pendants holding glass globes. Behind it, a wall finish with a flowing, water-like grain recalls ink-brush landscape. Lit open shelves either side of the screen hold trophies and commemorative pieces. The larger meeting room sets black office chairs around a long table, with city views from the windows and a full run of backlit display cabinets as its focal point.
The corridor ties the rooms together with a marble diamond-pattern floor in light and dark stone, while a row of round, backlit mirror features in metal frames draws the eye to the far end. Across every space, a measured palette and clear lines build depth and give the brand a distinct, understated identity.
