Lido Garden stands at 41-63 Castle Peak Road in Sham Tseng, and this renovation covers a flat of around 657 sq ft. The interior design follows a minimalist style. With limited floor area, we let custom-built furniture do the work, folding storage into the walls of the bedroom and entrance so the floor stays clear. The material palette is kept to white doors, pale timber veneer and marble-effect tiles, while the daylight and sea view beyond the windows are left to speak for themselves.
Bedroom desk and wardrobe
In one bedroom, an L-shaped desk runs beneath the window, its corner drawn into a soft curve, with drawers tucked under the worktop. A pale timber panel steps across to a white sliding-door wardrobe; sliding doors save the swing space a hinged door would need, and timber-veneer cupboards below take everyday clutter. In another room, a raised structure framed in blue, with arched openings, sits overhead and leaves the desk below to the light.
Bathroom and entrance
The bathroom is wrapped in marble-effect tiles. A wall-hung vanity in soft pink carries rose-gold handles, a vessel basin and a round mirror, with light beneath the cabinet so it appears to float. The shower enclosure is framed in the same rose-gold tone as the tap fittings. At the entrance the mood turns deeper: the shoe cabinet pairs black-and-gold marble-effect panels with a fluted timber back, LED strips, and blue shelves and sliding door.
Tones move from light to deep across the flat: bright bedrooms, a soft bathroom, a grounded entrance. Within a compact footprint, every piece of joinery earns its place through storage and proportion.
