Mutina and Note Design Studio’s Emisferi collection extends flat patterns into geometric units. Tiles can create depth through arrangement as well as surface finish.

Assess finish and structure separately

Projection, weight and fixing differ from thin conventional tiles. Screens, decorative columns and partitions require product-specific assessment of supports, loads and installation systems, alongside the existing building.

Local application in compact homes

Entrance walls, television backdrops and column finishes can gain texture. Area and projection should suit passage width, sightlines and cleaning.

Installation and maintenance

Confirm joints, connections and cleaning at the design stage. Wet areas also need verification of absorption and suitability. Appearance belongs in the same assessment as construction and maintenance.
