紐約西村Stonewall Inn隔籬有間叫Love Thy Neighbor嘅酒吧，最近因為佢哋成個空間「no straight lines」嘅設計理念引起話題。作為設計師，我哋當然欣賞佢哋用自由形態去慶祝多元同個性，但當呢種曲線思維落入香港典型嘅蝸居，又係咪真係行得通？今日同大家客觀拆吓曲線元素喺香港家居嘅實際考慮。

曲線嘅心理學：點解會令人放鬆？

研究顯示，曲線嘅邊緣比起尖角更能觸發大腦嘅愉悅反應，降低壓力荷爾蒙。紐約嗰間酒吧用雕塑感嘅間隔同流線吧檯，營造出包容同歸屬感。但要注意：同樣嘅效果喺細空間可能會被「放大」——如果你香港屋企只得400呎，過多曲線反而會令視覺混亂，失去焦點。

香港環境嘅物理限制

香港住宅普遍樓底只有8呎，唔似紐約嗰啲loft單位可以玩誇張弧形。曲線牆身通常需要訂造模板，成本比直牆高30-50%；而且如果間隔太彎，會浪費好多可用空間。以下係幾個實際要留意嘅位：

喺我哋處理過嘅本地項目，最成功嘅案例係將曲線用喺廚房工作檯嘅圓角——避免撞傷之餘，亦令細小嘅L型廚房感覺更流暢。反而係有人為咗「無直線」將全屋天花做波浪形，最後發現風口安裝困難又壓抑，後悔都嚟唔切。
